I mean, I "know" I'm not, but in the midst, you still feel alone, right? It's so good to hear the stories of the moms who have moved through, and who's kids are still doing so well. Thanks, friend!Rebekahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11225311578597379415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7455946971539117782.post-8720127639262690572013-07-24T21:20:53.564-07:002013-07-24T21:20:53.564-07:00I am living proof that you can stay close to your ...I am living proof that you can stay close to your children through the teen years. I've raise two already, who love me and Jesus, and have two more (13 and 10) who still love me! These are some of the best years for our children. Enjoy them!BARBIEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02537827307867912139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7455946971539117782.post-44540738509740023362013-07-24T19:00:25.268-07:002013-07-24T19:00:25.268-07:00Rebekah,

May your daughter not live up to those nightmare stories others so freely impose on you for the "typical" 16-year-old who may emerge. I'm praying your life of mothering this daughter is filled with lots of blessings and many more happy days as you raise her and as she begins to walk in the direction God has for her.

School expectations and standards...ugh. I've been there reading Cynthia Tobias's books and camping out at Moms in Touch for Friday prayers. A few "well-meaning" (not) educators ruined a few of my school years as a mom. Better days have come now that those grammar school days of oppression have ceased and my boys are in their young adult years well-adjusted and thriving as young men.

Hallelujah!

Praying the rest of your summer is blessed for you and your daughter.
